I'm interested, but...!

Hello! I tripped over a link to this forum on Tumblr earlier today, and bookmarked it to make sure I'd wander back later on.

Anyway, I'm interested in joining, but I have one question. I'm interested in potentially applying as either Dagger, Mikoto, or Kuja. Of the three, I'm most accustomed to writing for Kuja, but I'm curious to know if you have him in mind as the villain for this game (which would impact which direction I'd have to develop his post-game character, that's all).

That's... yes, I think that's all I want to know for now!

Also can I just say how awesome it is that this game even exists omigod you have no idea how much I'd kill for a FFIX game.

Good to hear you're interested. Any of those 3 would be fantastic to have! As far as Kuja goes, we actually have another villain planned out so you could really go either direction with him. The choice is yours!

So he could either be good now and join the heroes, team up with this new evil, or even just flat out be bad and want to destroy the competition to his goal. What did you have in mind for him?

Generally, my post-game Kuja is good, but not perfect. I think it'll depend on what the new!villain is planning and whether or not Kuja sees a way to use them. He does feel he owes Zidane a great deal for saving his life and whatnot, though (not that he'll ever admit it), and he's fairly remorseful. Besides, at this point he doesn't have much in the way of a goal he's trying to achieve - Garland is dead, Terra is destroyed, and as far as he knows, he could die any day. I expect his first task is to attempt to extend the lives of the Black Mages, and after that, who knows?
